I bought this cookbook because a family member is on a low sodium diet for congestive heart failure. However, the nutrition info does not tell you how much sodium is in the recipes, which defeats the purpose of me having a quick way to monitor it.

I love using the pressure cooker and Im trying to find healthy cookbooks to expand my experiences with cooking in it. The dash diet seems to incorporate the healthy dieting Im looking for, and the pressure cooker makes it so easy to cook something fast on a busy night with little prep work. I love it!I purchased the paperback version and it arrived quickly. There are plenty of varieties of recipes included in this book. From breakfast to dinner, soup to dips and desserts to finish it off. The recipes have both a table of contents and an index guide so it makes finding the recipes very easy. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. All recipes include the nutritional facts. And I really appreciate that all the ingredients in the dishes I've made are easy to find in the grocery store.The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because the book is very plain. There are no pictures, no examples. Just typed up pages. Maybe the kindle version isn't like this. But the paperback book is very boring. Just a preference that I would have liked a few pictures. Other than that, it's a very nice book for those of us wanting a fast and easy way to make healthy meals.

The nutritional information provided in these recipes, sparse as it is, is incorrect for many recipes. For one example, Date and Millet Pudding, claims a serving has 200 calories, 4 g (I assume) fat, 5 g fiber, 16 g carbs and 5 g protein. Doing the math with the simple ingredients in the recipe, a serving actually computes out to just under 400 calories, about 20 g fat, 9 g fiber, 48 g carbs and 7 g protein. Without the units of measurement and knowing exactly what resources were used for the book, my measurements may be slightly off, but the recipes figures are a total departure from common measurements available online. Again, without the sodium measurement, there's no tie in to proper sodium management in a DASH diet. It's like someone just gathered recipes and slapped a DASH label AND an Instant Pot label on the book. I'm so disappointed in the haphazard organization of the recipes. There are meal type headers, but no sections denoting major ingredients. Trying to pinpoint groups of chicken-based, or vegetarian-based main dish recipes requires you search the full section in the book. The recipe index is merely an alphabetical list of recipes, no major ingredients are listed. The recipes may taste great, but this whole book is a disaster for someone trying to plan and follow a DASH eating plan. Don't even get me started on the scarcity of Instant Pot instructions.

Recipes do not list sodium content, so are not helpful. Nor do they give any details about pressure release times or other instructions that are necessary to using the Instant Pot properly.A waste of $0.99.

Dash diet provides delicious and healthy recipes. Not only can help the diet but can protect your health as well. I like the tips of way on how to eat Dash diet. Recommend this book.

I bought this as a gift for my mom. My sister and my mom both fell in love with this book. I am ordering it for my sister for Christmas. I would have liked more pictures, but the recipes were good and easy to follow.

I wa very disappointed. The recipes were not made with “normal”foods. Nothing compelled me to even want to try them
