It is hard to find hats for Ginny size dolls and Alexanderkins. They are usually expensive or not what I had in mind. I like this book for dressing 8 inch dolls, even the boys. There's a sailor hat, baseball cap, top hat, beret, rainhat, and a little hat with earflaps like Elmer Fudd wears. The shoes are cute, too. 3 size patterns for people that have larger dolls.
the patterns are so so .Most are available free online.probably will donate the book to a charity craft supply shop,I wish there was a preview of the patterns inside before I purchased as I wouldn`t have.
I am very pleased with this book. I had been looking for a book that would show me how to make shoes for dolls and not be an impossible task. This book shows me how. Now I am looking for her (Marla Freeman) first book on clothing for an 18" doll. I was surprised when I came across this book at Amazon although the clothing book is out of print. One can make a hat with matching shoes to go with just about any outfit.
