Just wow! Thank you for courageously sharing the experiences that helped shape who you are today. I highly recommend anyone struggling with any personal challenges to read this book and really take to heart Chrissy's Bee Mindful ideas. I am typically not a fast reader, but I could not put this book down. It only took me two days to read and when I turned the last page, I felt hopeful. I immediately shared the book with my daughter and told her it is a must read!
Once I started this book, I could not put it down! I read it in two days! Such a heartfelt book, with moments of laughter, smiles, tears, etc! I found alot of similarities between Chrissy Metz and the roll she plays on This Is Us. Maybe that is we we all love Kate so much! What an amazing, beautiful women Chrissy is!
This book is a must read for all performers, and honestly, just about anybody who cares about wanting to be more confident. It's in the Self-Help section for a reason, so anyone who critiques it for giving advice is missing the point. This woman is simply sharing her true life stories and then what she learned from them. And some of the stories will make you raise an eyebrow and then look inward and your own "stuff". I have read (usually listened to because I hate reading) dozens of Self-Help books and clearly, by far, this was the best for a number of reasons. Here are my top 5:1. It is written in a way that makes it easy to relate to and easy to read! She uses every day English in a clever/hip way.2. It's humorous but also has depth and wisdom in every page3. It is heartwarming and inspiring to read about a woman who is sharing stories that everyone can relate to and learn from, but most people don't have the courage to write about4. I do not like reading, but I did not want to put this book down. It is engaging.5. It gave me many useful tips about life, relationships, and the industry to name a few.I wasn't sure what to expect before I read this book and honestly, IMHO all the people who have critiqued it with less than a 4 probably read it for the wrong reasons. If you want a good laugh and a good cry and some good eye-opening stories to make you re-think how you think and experience the world, then read this book. I'm pretty convinced if everyone read this book, the world would certainly be a better place.
I'm still reading it, but it's such a great book. I love Chrissy Metz's humor throughout the book. It's a great mix of storytelling and personal tips. I don't always have a lot of free time to sit down and read and I've appreciated that it is an easy book to sit down and read in smaller chunks.
As a great fan of This is US, I have always loved Chrissy Metz's character. How surprised I was when I read her book and saw the parallels between Kate's life and Chrissy's. What a wonderful, inspiring book told in language that makes you feel she is sitting next to you telling her story. I was not able to stop reading and finished it in two days. If you want to know just what a great person Chrissy is, this is the book to read. Kudos to her for sharing and inspiring others!

Excellent! It’s as if you & Chrissy are having a regular conversation. Chapter 1 page one, I was laughing out loud because it’s just so like what I would say, think, and do. I love “This is Me†I even highlighted many things on many pages & wrote by them, I found so many great, fun, Strong, trials, & truth love laughter & more , we can all learn & relate to. You do not need to even have ever watched the TV show TIU, to love this book!
This is like talking to your best friend...a mix of tough love, inspiration and nurturing... With a few laughs in between. I felt like Chrissy Metz is sending each of her readers a warm hug in each and every chapter. So many chapters spoke directly to me, I was starting to think she's been reading my diary. New life goal...someday have lunch with Chrissy Metz.
